Christina Harrell

Soprano

Soprano, Christina Marie Harrell, is a music teacher in the Palm Springs Unified School District. You may have recently seen her play the role of Sarah Brown at the McCallum Theater in College of the Desert’s production of Guys and Dolls. She and her husband, John, moved to the Coachella Valley from Los Angeles in 2015, where she sang in choirs, opera companies, and musical theater companies. Among her other favorite roles are Marguerite in Redland Opera Company’s production of Gounod’s Faust, Donna Elvira in Redland Opera Company’s production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni, and Rosie in Covina Center for the Performing Arts’ production of The Wedding Singer. Mrs. Harrell holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s Degree in voice and performance from Azusa Pacific University. Christina enjoys singing throughout the Coachella Valley such as Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she serves as soprano section leader, Festival Singers at St. John’s Lutheran Church where she is often featured as a soloist, and Desert Carolers and is excited to be singing in her second season with Coachella Valley Classical Voices. Christina just recently directed the production of Beauty and the Beast Jr., the 3rd musical opportunity she has enjoyed bringing to her students. When not teaching, performing, or directing, Christina enjoys being a wife and mom to her son, Killian (7), who played Chip in the Beauty and Beast Jr. Production, and her daughter Aria (5).
