Elaine Wang Meyerhoffer, mezzo-soprano, began classical singing late in life and committed to its rigors by completing a B.A. in Music in Vocal Performance (Class of 2017, U. of Redlands, CA – over three decades after her first college degree in English Literature). At present, Elaine is a member of the Commissioning Club for the Santa Fe Desert Chorale and serves on the board of directors of the Palm Springs International Piano Competition. Elaine’s focus has been on art songs and lieder, often presenting recitals themed in literary and multicultural ways. She delights in every opportunity to collaborate in music ensembles, especially CVCV, and with other arts. During the holiday season, Elaine can be found in hoop skirt and Dickens costume, singing in quartets with the Desert Carolers throughout the Inland Empire. Elaine resides in Palm Springs, CA.
