Having only recently relocated to Coachella Valley from her position at Minnesota State University Moorhead, pianist Julie Adams brings a wealth of diverse experience to her position as accompanist.

A native of Independence, Missouri, Julie holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Baker University and a Master of Arts in Voice Performance from the University of Denver Lamont School of Music. With over 30 years of teaching experience at the elementary and university levels, Ms. Adams has earned high praise and numerous awards for her work. From 2009 to 2021, Julie served as Musical Director/Pit Orchestra Director/Pianist for 45 musical theater productions as part of her position at Minnesota State during which time she also served as Chorus Master for seven productions at the Fargo/Moorhead Opera Company.

While living in Southern California from 1987-2008, Julie taught at both the elementary and collegiate level. From 2000-2008, she was nominated for eight Inland Theater League Awards for Musical Direction and won the award in five of those years. Coupled with a long career as a church musician, Ms. Adam’s personal singing experience includes roles in The Medium, Gianni Schicchi, The Counsel, and The Old Maid and the Thief, amongst others.
