Kelly McDaniel

Mezzo-Soprano

Mezzo-soprano Kelly McDaniel was last seen playing the narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat. This was her second role with the Desert Theatricals company following Madame de la Grande Bouche in Beauty and the Beast. You may have seen McDaniel in her eight-week portrayal of the title role in Always, Patsy Cline. Kelly has made quite the tradition of performing leads in girl power shows such as Mamma Mia, Nunsensations, Beehive, and Winter Wonderettes. McDaniel has loved playing strong women such as Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, Charlotte in A Little Night Music and Lady Beaconsfield in Jeckyl and Hyde, all at the McCallum Theatre. McDaniel holds a bachelor’s degree in music from California State University Long Beach, where she also met her husband. Ms. McDaniel would like to thank him as well as her six children for their encouragement and support.
