Baritone Mark Ziemann retired to Palm Springs in 2013 after teaching elementary music for 30 years. Mr. Ziemann received his BM in voice performance from the University of Pacific and then moved to San Francisco, singing with the San Francisco Opera and Symphony Choruses. Ziemann studied German Lied and opera at AIMS in Graz and at the Vienna Conservatory of Music, both in Austria. Mark has also sung with the Marin, East Bay, Sacramento, Stockton, and Townsend Opera Companies, as well as performing many musicals in regional theatres. Mr. Ziemann sang under the conducting of legends Claudio Abbado, Edo DeWaart, Kurt Adler and Leonard Bernstein. In the valley, you might have heard Mr. Ziemann perform with the Modern Men Chorus, Palm Canyon Theatre, Desert Rose Theatre, or as The Governor at the McCullum last Spring in Man of LaMancha.
